This totally revamped jazz event at the OGR, comes back with a packed programme of concerts, with local and international artists. This new edition Jazz Festival is curated by two well-known musicians and cultural organisers: artistic director Giorgio Li Calzi and Diego Borotti.

The Festival aims at pleasing all kind of audiences. OGR is the main stage and is also where you can listen to two concerts with a single ticket.

The Stresa Festival is among the best-known European classical and jazz music festivals; every year it offers to its audience performances by internationally famous artists.
In 2018 the Stresa Festival will organize its 57th edition.

The Stresa Festival offers an annual festival replete with concerts of high artistic value: internationally renowned musicians and young prospects present works spanning baroque to contemporary styles, as well as perform original productions.

Monforte d’Alba, from July to  August. A series of concerts held in Monforte d’Alba’s wonderful open air amphitheatre. This year’s acts are yet to be announced, but is an open Jazz Festival in historic Monforte d’Alba in the heart of Barolo.

Historical Carnival : the Battle of Orange

From February the 8th to 13th one of the most famous Carnival in Italy

The Historical Carnival in Ivrea including The Battle of Oranges is recognized as an “Italian event of international importance”. It is the commemoration of the populace revolt against the Baron of the place who reduced to hungry the city. The cause of the revolt was the refusal of a miller’s daughter to respect the jus primae noctis.
This Historical Carnival in Ivrea is also so famous because of the “Battle of Oranges” taking place on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday afternoon.

Asti Horse Race – Palio di Asti

Palio di Asti – Asti horse race – is a traditional festival of Medieval origins.
Originally it was held in May during the patron saint San Secondo festivities but since 1967 it takes place on the third Sunday of September.

This year the Palio di Asti will be held Sunday in Piazza Alfieri. The day will start with the blessing ceremony of horse and jockey, followed by an exhibition by flag throwers from the A.S.T.A. (Association of Traditional Flag Throwers from Asti).

In the afternoon, from Piazza Cattedrale will start of the historical procession with more than one thousand people in medieval costume. The parade is led by the winner of the previous edition of the Palio.

Bra, September 2019. Cheese is the main high quality cheese-related festival in the world. It takes places once each couple of years in the home-town of the Slow Food movement, Bra.

Cheese host an open-air market for cheese makers in the principal streets and square of the town’s center, as well as didactic laboratories and events to promote the knowledge about the milk derived products.

Artissima is Italy’s most important contemporary art fair. Since its establishment in 1994, it has combined the presence of an international market with a focus on experimentation and research.

Nearly two hundred galleries from around the world participate every year. In addition to the fair, Artissima is also composed of three art sections, headed by a board of international curators and museum directors, devoted to emerging artists, performances and rediscovering the great pioneers of contemporary art.

Artissima 2018 will be held in Torino in November at the Oval, a glass pavilion built for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in the industrial archaeology complex of the Lingotto.

The great wines from Langhe, Roero and Piedmont are presented to the public at the end of April  in Alba. It will be a unique occasion to live both the emotion and the scents together with the tastes of the gastronomical excellence of the territory.  For two consecutive weekends the streets of Alba will be swarming with tourists, enthusiasts, gourmets and onlookers who will have a chance to taste the best wines produced from these hills.

Walking along the town center streets you’ll come across numerous tasting points which will give you a chance to sample the great Langhe, Roero and Monferrato wines. And of course you’ll also find the prestigious Piedmont cheeses, paired with wines by the Ais Sommelier (Italian Sommelier Association) and by the Onaf (National Cheese Tasters Organization) tasters from the province of Cuneo.
